How Wedding Flower Preservation Works
From your wedding day to a timeless heirloom
Le Rosse Studio guides you through every step, whether you are local to Charleston or sending your flowers from out of town.
1. Choose your payment path
For a wedding planned about a year or more ahead, you may hold studio space with a $75 nonrefundable reservation, credited toward your finished piece. For a closer wedding, choose your piece with the studio and pay 50% of the agreed price first by studio invoice; the separate $75 reservation is not required. Contact us to confirm availability before sending flowers.

2. Receive your Flower Care + Shipping Guide
After confirming your order, you will receive current instructions for caring for your bouquet after the wedding, arranging a Charleston-area drop-off, or preparing your flowers for shipment.

3. Photograph the fresh bouquet and send it to us
Send photos while the bouquet is fresh. Within the first 24 hours, email hello@lerossestudio.com with your name, wedding date and clear photos of the whole bouquet (front and side), close-ups of blooms you most want preserved, and any meaningful ribbon or detail. Take the photos before taking the bouquet apart. These images record its original colors and composition; we still assess the actual flowers when they arrive.
Keep the cut stem ends in a clean vase of fresh water if possible; keep the blooms dry and cool indoors away from sun and heat. Contact us promptly to plan the handoff. Read the full first-day care and shipping instructions.
4. Get your flowers to Le Rosse Studio
Local clients: arrange a confirmed Hanahan studio appointment as soon as possible after the event. Drop-off appointments are available Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Please do not arrive without confirmation or leave flowers unattended.
Out-of-town clients: do not mail fresh flowers until Le Rosse Studio confirms your receiving window and provides the current shipping instructions and address. Once confirmed, ship as early in the week as possible—Monday–Wednesday is generally preferred—using an expedited, trackable service. A Thursday shipment requires a specifically approved receiving plan; standard flower receiving is Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–2 PM Eastern. Do not ship Friday–Sunday or immediately before a holiday unless approved by the studio.
Keep flowers cool and out of prolonged direct sun. Do not freeze them, spray the blooms with water or pack them while wet. Fresh flowers are delicate, and faster arrival gives us the best opportunity to preserve their character.
5. We receive, photograph and study your flowers
When your bouquet arrives, we photograph and inventory it, document bloom type, color and condition, and record the sentimental details you share. We determine which flowers are viable for preservation and identify “the bloom I would protect most” for your Artist’s Intake Note. Natural flowers vary, and not every bloom can always be preserved successfully.
6. Finalize and approve your heirloom
If you already selected your preservation piece, we confirm its details. If not, we help you choose the format and size that best suit the flowers that preserved successfully and the way you want the finished piece to live in your home. Wedding-preservation orders include one composition approval before final mounting or casting when applicable.
7. Complete payment
Wedding payment timing:
- Planning about a year or more ahead: You may hold your wedding date with a $75 nonrefundable reservation. The full $75 is credited toward your preservation piece when it is chosen.
- Wedding less than about a year away: Choose your preservation piece with the studio and pay 50% of its agreed price first through a studio invoice. No separate $75 reservation is required. You may also pay in full.
If you used the $75 early reservation, that credit counts toward the first 50% after the piece and total price are confirmed; the studio invoices only the difference. The remaining 50% is invoiced when the finished piece is ready and is due at least seven days before scheduled shipment (or before an arranged pickup). Shipping and applicable tax are shown separately on the invoice. The website’s $75 product collects only the early reservation; contact the studio for the 50% invoice option.
8. Preservation + creation
Your flowers are stabilized and dried using the method best suited to their type and condition, then composed into your selected heirloom. Fresh flowers are never cast directly into resin. Natural flowers can soften, deepen, warm or shift in color during preservation; these variations are part of the authentic botanical character of the finished piece.
Typical turnaround: approximately 10 weeks from receipt of viable flowers for resin pieces, depending on the selected heirloom, flower type, preservation method, design complexity and current studio schedule. The dimensional Botanical Portrait currently lists 4–6 months. The Chosen Bloom typically requires 12–16 weeks. Shipping time is additional, and the individual product description provides the applicable estimate.
9. Delivery or pickup
When your heirloom is complete, Charleston-area pickup is available by appointment. Eligible finished pieces may also be shipped within the continental United States using insured, trackable delivery. Finished-piece shipping is charged separately unless the individual listing states otherwise.

Preservation for other meaningful occasions
Le Rosse preservation is not limited to weddings. We also preserve meaningful flowers from memorials, anniversaries, engagements, baby celebrations, graduations, milestone birthdays, sympathy arrangements and other personal occasions.
