Memorial & Meaningful Occasion Flower Preservation

Some flowers carry more than beauty. They carry a person, a place, a promise or a moment you do not want to lose.

Le Rosse Studio preserves meaningful flowers from memorials, funerals, sympathy arrangements, anniversaries, engagements, baby celebrations, graduations, milestone birthdays and other personal occasions. Because these flowers often arrive unexpectedly, no advance reservation is required. Contact the studio as soon as possible so we can guide you according to flower condition, timing and current studio availability.

Start with the flowers you have

You do not need to know which heirloom to choose before contacting us. We first review the flowers, their condition, the amount of viable material and the meaning you would like the finished piece to hold. We then recommend the preservation format that best suits what can be protected beautifully.

Receiving fresh flowers

Please contact Le Rosse Studio before shipping or dropping off flowers. We must confirm the receiving window, current shipping address or local appointment before the flowers begin their journey.

Charleston-area drop-off: available at the Hanahan studio by confirmed appointment, Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Out-of-area shipping: use expedited, trackable delivery after the studio confirms the receiving plan.
Preferred shipping days: Monday–Wednesday. Thursday requires a confirmed next-day arrival plan.
Avoid: shipping Friday–Sunday or immediately before a holiday unless specifically approved.

Keep flowers cool indoors and away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars. Do not freeze the flowers, spray the blooms with water or pack them while wet. Never leave flowers unattended outside the studio.

What happens after arrival

We photograph and inventory the flowers, document their condition and note the names, dates, colors, keepsakes or personal details that matter to you. We identify the strongest viable botanicals—including “the bloom I would protect most”—and prepare an Artist’s Intake Note to help guide the final piece.

Available preservation directions

Depending on the flowers received, recommendations may include The Chosen Bloom, The Botanical Vow Book, a Botanical Portrait, or a Resin Flower Heirloom such as a petite study, rounded paperweight or sculptural resin format. Selected personalization may include names, dates, a short inscription, photograph, ribbon or another small keepsake when appropriate for the chosen design.

Approval and payment

After the flowers are assessed, we confirm the recommended format, size, price and meaningful additions. Preservation orders include one composition approval before final mounting or casting when applicable.

Orders under $500 are due in full before final production. Orders of $500 or more may be paid in full or with 50% due before final production and the remaining 50% due before shipment or pickup.

Timing

Current resin preservation turnaround is approximately 10 weeks from receipt of viable flowers. Framed and specialty formats have their own estimates: the dimensional Botanical Portrait currently lists 4–6 months, and The Chosen Bloom lists 12–16 weeks. Flower condition, design requirements and studio availability may affect timing. We confirm your specific estimate after assessment; shipping time is additional.

Natural flower character

Real flowers naturally change during preservation. Colors may soften, deepen, warm or become more muted, and delicate petals may show changes in texture. Bruised, damp, molded, collapsed or severely deteriorated blooms may not be safe or suitable to preserve. Not every flower received can always be used.

When original flowers are unavailable or unusable, studio-supplied replacement blooms may sometimes be sourced for an additional fee. Any replacement will be clearly identified and approved before use. A commemorative design may also be created from photographs, a flower list, the original color palette, names and the occasion date.

Finished-piece pickup or shipping

Charleston-area pickup is available by appointment. Eligible finished pieces may also be shipped within the continental United States using insured, trackable delivery. Inbound flower shipping and finished-piece shipping are charged separately unless the individual order states otherwise.
